Diatomaceous Earth, or D.E., is a non-toxic, safe substance made up from crushed fossils of freshwater organisms and marine life. When used for water filtration, it is considered an efficient and long-lasting filter powder. D.E is able to filter down to 5 microns. This style D.E. can be used with Hayward systems, Pentair systems, StaRite systems and others. D.E. powder is easy to use, store and install.
